| Bio: | My name is Keith Phipps and this is my blog. If you've seen my name before, you probably read THE ONION, a popular humor site (theonion.com) and weekly newspaper. People love it for its satirical news stories. I love it for that too, but I don't do the funny stuff. I help write and edit THE ONION A.V. CLUB (theonionavclub.com), the entertainment section of THE ONION. We think it's pretty good, too. It's a good thing I have that job, too, since if I didn't a) I don't know what I'd be doing and b) I'd be desperately wanting the free time to watch movies, listen to music, and read books anyway. I live in Chicago with my wife and our two lovely young cats. Before that I lived in Madison, Wisconsin. Before that I lived in Springfield, Ohio. Before that, Dayton, Ohio, where I was born. I write for a living, but it's a specific kind of writing. I think what I'd like from a blog is a place to write whatever I want on my own deadline.
